Chinese tungsten market continued the quiet trend in September. Most consumers only purchased according to the demand and kept the minimum inventories. Meanwhile, suppliers had to reduce their quotation continuously to reserve liquidity due to the great financial pressure. Plants generally ran at low operation rates and some of them even halted production. Market participants held the pessimistic attitude towards the future market and expected that the price of the material will drop further in the near future.
