BEIJING (Asian Metal) 9 Sep 15 - Welded pipe prices show a stable trend in Singapore at this moment, while the market remains sluggish with downstream demand staying on a low level. The mainstream price of welded pipe Φ114.3mm*3.75mm is SGD583-604/t (USD410-425/t). Insiders don’t believe that the Singaporean welded pipe market will improve in the near future.
A trader in Singapore reveals to Asian Metal that the local price of welded pipe ASTM A53 Φ114.3mm*3.75mm is SGD590/t (USD415/t), the same as that of last week.
According to the source, most local end users just purchase in small quantities with him to meet their urgent needs, so his current sales performance is not satisfying at all. His daily sales volume is 100-150t for the time being, while it was 200-250tpd during the corresponding period of last year. Moreover, he tells Asian Metal that downstream construction industry and oil transportation industry have been running slowly for a long period.
