BEIJING (Asian Metal) 31 Jul 15 - Welded pipe prices show a flat trend in Singapore, while the market is not active without strong downstream demand. Insiders deem that the Singaporean welded pipe market will continue to run slowly in the near future.
A trader in Singapore reveals to Asian Metal that the local price of welded pipe ASTM A53 Φ114.3mm*3.75mm is SGD651/t (USD475/t), the same as that of last week.
According to the source, the demand from downstream industries is not strong at all and local welded pipe market has been sluggish during the whole month. He tells Asian Metal that the current daily sales volume is only 80t, while it was close to 150t in Q2. He predicts that Singaporean welded pipe market will remain inactive in August.
Another trader in Singapore reports to Asian Metal that the local price of welded pipe ASTM A53 Φ114.3mm*3.75mm is SGD658/t (USD480/t), unchanged compared with that of last week.
