The stainless steel market failed to make any progress in September, traditionally regarded as the high season, because of the faltering nickel price and soft demand from downstream industry. Most players will take a seven-day holiday for National Day from October 1 to 7, so there will be fewer working days in October and the market is unlikely to improve.
