Chinese domestic welded pipe market was still unfavorable in this month affected by the soft demand from downstream industries. Prices of welded pipe in North China decreased sharply but only went down slightly in other regions because of the tight supply. Traders were cautious about the market and did not adjust quotations rashly. As most participants were unconfident of the coming market, few of them replenished large stocks. Under such a condition, insiders deem that the markdown will be narrow though the price of pipe is likely to go down further next month.
