Chinese steel scrap market consolidated generally and mixed in some regions in February. However, demand was low and deals were poor due to the atmosphere of the Spring Festival. Steel scrap market was basically dead during the first ten days in the month, and the market was weak and flat. Steel traders returned market after the Lantern Festival, but steel scrap market did not go upward as prospected due to various factors. Domestic steel scrap market prices continued to be soft late in February.
