In January, silicon carbide market remained sluggish with slow improvement in downstream customers. However, Chinese domestic market saw some appreciation due to the higher power price and freight cost in producers. The export quotas system was abandoned from this month and the export price of silicon carbide went down slightly. The total concluded volume was thinner than that of last month as many consumers purchased enough inventories in December before Chinese New Year approached.
