Values for electrolytic manganese showed an overall downward trend to RMB14,700-14,800/t (USD2,152-2,167/t) ex works at the end of the month from RMB15,000/t (USD2,196/t) ex works at the beginning of the month, a drop of approximately RMB200-300/t (USD30-45/t). Most producers reduced the production with no interest in operating due to the downstream dim demand. The manganese market is likely to show the weak trend in June with continuously weakening demand for electrolytic manganese from steel mills.
