Electrolytic manganese market appeared to be softening, and prices kept at RMB15,000-15,400/t (USD2,196-2,255/t) ex works. Early this month, electrolytic manganese price decreased by RMB200/t based on large spot market supply; later this month, prices recovered at RMB15,300-15,400/t (USD2,240-2,255/t) ex works as some manganese plants reduced their production. Downstream demand did not recover, and market activity kept slow. As steel market kept sluggish and the demand of electrolytic manganese decreased, manganese price is expected to keep lower in April.
