Chinese domestic domestic steel plate price went up this month mainly due to steel mills’ low inventories which led to grade shortages in the spot market. Besides, steel mills also raised their ex-works prices and traders suffered from high purchase cost. However, as the demand from consumers was rather weak, the price remained stable in the last week. Insiders predict that the price will keep stable next month.
