Demand from lithium battery, oil grease, industrial aluminium, etc. industries was not strong and as the largest lithium products producer, SQM did not raise its prices in the first quarter of 2012. Lithium products prices tended to be stable in February after the price rising in January. Chinese battery grade lithium carbonate price kept firm at around RMB38.5-40/kg (USD6.11-6.35/kg) and price of industrial grade lithium carbonate remained at about RMB36-38/kg (USD5.71-6.03/kg).
