This month, prices of HR strip in major domestic markets moved down distinctly during the first half of the month, but they began to grow in the second half of the month. At the beginning of the month, the demand remained quite weak and the market ran sluggishly dragged by downstream customers’ reluctant to purchase materials. However, the demand started to increase during the last week of the month seeing the rebounding raw material price as well as steel mills’ lifting list prices. Insiders believe the market is likely to further recover in the following month.
