Chinese domestic HRC market was quiet and almost became frozen in the third week of this month. As the New Year holiday and the Spring Festival holiday came in the same month, there were less than 15 trading days left for traders. Moreover, many customers took holidays ahead of schedule, thus they were absent for three weeks in January. Insiders deem that the market will turn better gradually in February when downstream consumers restart their projects.
