This month, prices of magnesia in domestic market haven’t changed much. Though the production costs became higher, smelters kept offering for the materials at the current prices due to the slow demand from downstream consumers. Some small-sized magnesia smelters stopped production at the end of this month, and will resume production next year. As local government will collect magnesia resource tax in Haicheng, smelters revealed that they were under great pressure, and will increase prices depending on the market next year.
