In November, germanium metal price decreased again with soft demand in China. Demands from downstream industries of germanium metal kept dim depressed by European debt crisis and US economy crisis. Chinese producers of single germanium crystal and US consumers were reluctant to purchase in large quantities and took a wait-and-see attitude toward the market. In this situation, Participants believe the current situation is unlikely to improve in a short time. The price of germanium metal may drop further in December.
