The steel scrap price generally stabilized in domestic market this month
The mainstream purchasing prices of burden fines 6mm min and HMS 6mm min in Jiangsu were at RMB3,870-3,890/t and RMB3,800-3,820/t respectively, both on the same basis of d.p. delivered, while the concluding prices of those material were at RMB3,470-3,490/t and RMB3,400-3,420/t respectively, both on the same basis of d . u . delivered by cash payment. Besides, the steel scrap purchasing prices of some mills with small-scale electric furnaces kept at a high level with the highest concluding price at RMB3,540-3,560/t d . u . delivered by cash payment . If the price holds firm in Jiangsu, the prices in other areas will not change much as Jiangsu was major market for steel scrap in China.
The mainstream price of steel scrap in Fujian kept stable with the mainstream concluding price of burden fines 6mm min running at RMB3,450-3,470/t d.u . delivered by cash payment. The bids of HMS and MMS in Sanming Steel stayed at RMB3,830/t and RMB3,800/t respectively, both on the same basis of d . p . delivered. The concluding price of burden fines 6mm min in Sanbao Steel was at RMB3,410/t d . u . delivered by cash payment . According to local traders, the concluding price continued to stabilize recently but it was difficult for them to get the material due to the tight supply.
The mainstream concluding price of HMS 6mm min in Liaoning was at RMB3,330-3,350/t d.u. delivered by cash payment and that in Heilongjiang was at RMB3,130-3,150/t on the same basis . The deliveries of local mills kept normal as the steel scrap supply tightened .
