The demand for construction steel remained weak influenced by the continuous hot and rainy day which slowed down the process of construction projects. The market performed inactively in July. However, because of higher raw materials prices of billet and iron ore, most domestic steel mills raised wire rod and rebar ex-works prices this month, therefore, traders increased wire rod and rebar offers accordingly. With the operation of indemnificatory housing in August, the demand for construction steel will rise and insiders predict that prices of wire rod and rebar will show the upward trend in August.
