BEIJING (Asian Metal) 8 Jul 11 – Chinese silicon metal price rebounded in May following the continuous drop for around two months due to the reducing output caused by the power rationing. Entering into June, the rainfall in South China increased and silicon metal smelters resumed production gradually. The supply of silicon metal was large in the spot market following the increasing operating rate, and the price decreased on the weak demand in both domestic and overseas market.
