Manganese flake price kept stable in general in May at RMB18,800-19,000/t (USD2,819-2,849/t) ex works, after the price increased slightly at the beginning of May. Manganese flake market went into the weak stage in China, while the demand from stainless steel market did not recover, and the purchase volume is small; in addition, the demand from the middle and low-carbon ferromanganese smelters is weak. At the same time, the operating rate of manganese flake smelters kept high in South China, which cannot support the manganese flake price.
