Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes breaks ground on first overseas cast iron pipe project

Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes Co., Ltd. held the groundbreaking ceremony for its 250,000tpa cast iron pipe project at China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone in Egypt, marking the start of construction of the company's first overseas ductile iron pipes production base.
With a planned land area of around 270,000 square meters, the project will build production lines capable of producing all specifications of centrifugal ductile cast pipe and associated products, with a total production capacity of 250,000 tonnes per annum, and most of the products will be supplied to the local market in Egypt as well as the Middle East, Africa and Europe for water conservancy engineering, such as water supply and sewage systems and sea water desalination. The project would help create more than 500 local jobs and is expected to achieve annual foreign exchange through export of nearly USD200 million.
