Nanshan Aluminum plans to build a 2Mtpa alumina expansion project in Indonesia through its subsidiary PT.Bintan Alumina Indonesia (BAI), for a total investment of around RMB6.33 billion (USD874 million).
According to plan, BAI will build the project at Nanshan Bintan Industrial Park in Galang Batang, Riau, Indonesia. The project consists of two phases, each with a production capacity of 1 million tonnes per annum of alumina. The whole project is expected to take about 2.5 years to complete.
