Longnan Heli Rare Earth Smelting Co., Ltd., a holding subsidiary of Rising Nonferrous Metals Share Co., Ltd., has been ordered by the local government to suspend production as its rare earth separation capacity is relatively small and is in the "obsolete" category in the 2024 version of Guideline Catalogue for Industrial Restructuring.
Heli Rare Earth already halted production after receiving the notice and the company can't resume production until rectification is reviewed and accepted by local, municipal and provincial authorities.
