Hansteel reports 32% increase in Q1 sales of main products

In the first quarter of 2024, HBIS Group Hansteel Company achieved main products sales of 1,137,000 tonnes, up by 32% versus a year ago, including 521,000 tonnes of automotive steel, 401,000 tonnes of home appliance steel, 50,000 tonnes of electrogalvanized steel, and 146,000 tonnes of heavy rail steel, up by 30%, 15%, 118% and 108% respectively from the prior year period.

Hansteel supplied 77,000 tonnes of steel products to overseas clients in the quarter, including Walton, the largest home appliance maker in Bangladesh, with Q1 exports up by 150% year on year.
