Construction kicks off for Kalqiaer fluorite project in Xinjiang

Xinjiang Hua'ou Mining Co., Ltd. broke ground on Kalqiaer fluorite project on March 16 after receiving the construction permit a day ago. The project is expected to mine 1.2 million tonnes per annum of fluorite by 2025, with a mineral processing capacity of 4,000 tonnes per day.
Kalqiaer fluorite mine has a super–large fluorite ore deposit with proven reserve accounting for around 10% of the national total, making it the biggest fluorite mine in China. Kalqiaer mine has ore reserves of 66.31 million tonnes which contain 22.49 million tonnes of calcium fluoride, with further resource potential in the deep and peripheral area of the mine. Preliminary estimate showed the entire mining area could contain nearly 50 million tonnes of calcium fluoride.
