485ktpa synthetic graphite project breaks ground in Dalian

On March 11, the phase one of Dalian Graphite Valley Carbon Materials New Park Project broke ground at Songmudao Chemical Industry Development Zone in Jinpu New Area. The project is jointly invested by Heilongjiang Graphite Valley Industry Group Co., Ltd. and BTR New Material Group Co., Ltd.
The first phase of the project, with an investment of RMB6.16 billion (USD857 million), covers an area of 690,000 square meters and has an annual production capacity of 1,300t of carbon nano tube, 485,000t of synthetic graphite, and 100,000t of synthetic graphite anode materials. The phase one is scheduled to go into operation by the end of 2025.
The phase two of the project, with a planned investment of RMB1.5 billion (USD209 million), is also in progress now and will produce synthetic graphite anode. When both two phases become fully operational, the project is expected to achieve annual production value of RMB8.7 billion (USD1.21 billion) and tax revenue of RMB650 million (USD90.42 million), and would create nearly 2,000 jobs.
