On March 6, the signing ceremony for foreign investment projects was held in Dangyang, Hubei, including the 30,000tpa high-energy anode material project developed by Shanghai Bakusi Superconducting New Materials Co
The project is jointly invested by Shanghai Bakusi Superconducting New Materials Co., Ltd . , Hubei Yudi Real Estate Co . , Ltd . and HongKong Zhongjing International Holding Co . , Ltd . , with total investment estimated at RMB2 billion (USD278 million) . The project will be located at Shuanglian Industry Park in Dangyang and cover an area of around 123Mu (8 . 2 hectares), with total floor area of 82,000 square meters. It will introduce 30 advanced production lines with annual capacity of 30,000 tonnes of high-energy graphite anode materials, mainly including medium-to-high-end natural graphite anode materials with reversible capacity of ≥370 and first discharge/charge ratio at 94% . The project uses liquid intercalation mechanical method to process natural graphite and can achieve low energy consumption and zero pollution.
Shanghai Bakusi now has three anode material production bases under construction in Deyang, Alashan and Xi'an, with a total of 100,000tpa of capacity expected to come on stream in 2024.
