Construction kicks off for 300ktpa aluminum alloy wire project in Huimin

On February 26, the 300,000tpa high-end aluminum alloy wire project developed by Shandong Hengwangte Cable Co., Ltd. broke ground in Huimin County.
The project is invested by Shandong Innovation Group, with an investment of RMB1.34 billion (USD186 million) for the first and second phases combined.
By introducing 10 drawing and frame stranding production lines and 260 sets of advanced equipment, the project will produce high-end aluminum alloy wire out of electrical round aluminum rod, with product added value up by more than 150%. When in full production, the project is expected to add annual production value of RMB7 billion (USD97.27 million).
