1. Definition, Type, Distribution, Application
1.1 Defination of Titanium
Titanium is a chemical element with the symbol Ti and atomic number 22, which locates in the fourth period in the Periodic Table of Chemical Element and can burn in the presence of nitrogen. Characterized with a low density (4 . 506-4.516g/cm3 at 20℃) and high melting point (1668±4℃) as well as the silver color, titanium is a strong, lustrous, corrosion-resistant (including sea water, aqua regia and chlorine) transition metal that is mainly applied in aerospace and marine industries.
