Beicai Nantong's 600ktpa stainless steel project begins production

Beicai Nantong Metal Technology Co., Ltd. put its 600,000tpa precision stainless steel plate and strip project into operation on December 18.
Located at Hai'an Development Zone, the project is jointly invested by Wuxi Huashangtong Electronic Commerce Co., Ltd. and Guangxi Beibu Gulf New Materials Co., Ltd., with a total investment of RMB1 billion (USD140 million). The project includes two 1450mm partial 8-hi cold rolling mills, a new state-of-the-art 5-stand tandem cold mill, and a cold rolled strip annealing production line that uses Sweden's most advanced solid solution recycling method and can achieve zero emission.
The project broke ground in October 2022 and main plant construction has now finished, with the cold-rolling production line already entering the commissioning phase. When fully operationally, the project is able to produce 600,000tpa of cold-rolled stainless steel products and achieve annual sales revenue of more than RMB10 billion (USD1.4 billion).
