Northern Rare Earth receives record high rare earth mining quota in 2023

China Northern Rare Earth (Group) High-Tech Co., Ltd. has received a third batch of rare earth mining quota of 12,000 tonnes and rare earth smelting and separation quota of 11,000 tonnes, taking its annual mining quota to 178,650 tonnes and smelting and separation quota to 163,234 tonnes, both hitting a historic high.
In 2023, the company obtained a total mining quota for rock type rare earth ore products of 178,650 tonnes, accounting for 70.06% of the total quota issued and up by 26.1% from last year, and the quota for smelting and separation increased by 26.6% versus 2022 to 163,234 tonnes, accounting for 66.94% of the total quota issued.
In 2023, the company obtained a total mining quota for rock type rare earth ore products of 178,650 tonnes, accounting for 70.06% of the total quota issued and up by 26.1% from last year, and the quota for smelting and separation increased by 26.6% versus 2022 to 163,234 tonnes, accounting for 66.94% of the total quota issued.
