Hanzhong Steel puts 3500mm steel plate line into operation

The 3500mm steel plate production line of Shaanxi Steel Group Hanzhong Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. was put into operation on December 15.
The company began to build the 3500mm steel plate production line with capacity of 1 million tonnes per annum and a slab caster with capacity of 1.1 million tonnes per annum in November 2022, with the total investment estimated at RMB2.5 billion (USD351 million).
When fully operational, the project is expected to achieve an industrial output value of RMB4 billion (USD561 million) and generate tax revenue of more than RMB50 million (USD7.01 million) annually, helping create over 500 local jobs. It will also fill the gap in the medium-thick steel plate market in the Sichuan and Shaanxi.
