Jiangxi Hangdian copper foil project begins phase one production

On December 6, Jiangxi Hangdian Copper Foil Co., Ltd. commenced phase one production at its 5-billion-yuan (USD 698 million) copper foil project located at Xiaolan economic development zone in Nanchang.
The project mainly produces copper foils used for lithium battery and high-frequency and high-speed electronic circuit, with a total production capacity of 50,000 tonnes per annum. The phase one of the project, with investment of RMB2 billion (USD279 million), covers an area of 200Mu (13.33 hectares) and has a planned production capacity of 20,000tpa of copper foils, including ultra-thin copper foil (4.5-8μm) used for lithium battery and copper foil (12-70μm) used for high performance circuit. When fully operational, the whole project would generate annual production value of nearly RMB6 billion (USD838 million) and tax revenue of RMB300 million (USD41.90 million), helping create more than 800 jobs.
