Guangdong Hailiang to build 40ktpa precision copper tube production line

Hailiang Copper Co., Ltd. plans to invest RMB115.99 million (USD16.28 million) to build a copper tube production line expansion project with capacity of 40,000 tonnes per annum at Taishan, Guangdong, with a construction period of 7 months, according to the environmental impact assessment (EIA) recently accepted by the local environmental authority.
The company initially planned to build an energy-efficient and eco-friendly precision copper tube project consisting of three production lines (2#~4#) with a total production capacity of 75,000tpa of grooved copper tube and bright copper tube coil. The 2# and 3# production lines already passed acceptance check, with a combined capacity of 60,000tpa. The 4# production line with capacity of 15,000tpa is still under construction.
In order to further expand market share and for strategic purposes, the company announced more investment to build the expansion project, which will increase the capacity of 4# production line by 25,000tpa to 40,000tpa.
