Northern Rare Earth begins hot commissioning of Bayan Obo RE concentrate pilot line

On November 20, China Northern Rare Earth (Group) High-Tech Co., Ltd. announced the start of hot commissioning of Bayan Obo Rare Earth Concentrate Green Smelting Process Pilot Line Project.
Launched in June 2019, the project broke ground in May 2021 and finished construction this year. As the first pilot line using low energy consumption and eco-friendly smelting process in China's rare earth industry, the project would process 20,000tpa of mixed rare earth concentrate and produce 10,000tpa of mixed rare earth sulphate liquid.
