The phase one 25,000tpa battery grade lithium hydroxide project developed by Yibin Weineng Lithium Industry Science and Innovation Co., Ltd. has passed acceptance check following 12 months of construction and is now ready for hot commissioning.
The company launched the phase one project in October 2022 and kicked off construction in early December 2022. The project uses spodumene as the raw material to produce battery grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate through sulfuric acid smelting of spodumene and causticizing cooling crystallization of lithium sulfate.
