Wire rod and rebar prices in most regions of China saw a downward trend in October because of weak demand and the decrease in steel mills' EXW prices. Besides, Chinese export prices of wire rod and rebar moved down during the month due to the slow demand from overseas customers.
In the international market, prices of wire rod and rebar in Thailand, Malaysia, India and Vietnam rose during the month mainly supported by high raw material prices and the price increase of steel mills.
