60Ktpa industrial silicon project to break ground in Anhui

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for silicon-containing solid waste utilization project developed by Anhui Maigesente New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has received pre-approval from local authority.
The company plans to build the project at Guangming Attapulgite New Material Industry Park and the planned project land area is 82,264.79 square meters. Construction mainly includes drying equipment, natural gas boiler, intermediate frequency furnace and testing facilities. Upon completion, the project will have an annual production capacity of 60,000t of industrial silicon. Total investment for the project is RMB200 million (USD27.36 million), including RMB2.36 million (USD322,846) for environmental protection.
