Yukun Iron and Steel begins production at HR coil deep processing and CR project

On August 30, Yukun Iron and Steel Group commenced production at its hot-rolled coil deep processing and cold-rolled steel products project located at Dahua Industrial Park in Huanian, Eshan.
The project will build production lines for acid pickling, galvanizing, cold rolling, color coating, tube making and other high value-added manufacturing processes, with products widely used for container steel, automotive sheet, pipeline steel, saw blade steel, home appliance steel, welded pipe, cold-formed steel, etc. With the total investment estimated at RMB3.43 billion (USD472 million), the project is able to produce 3.57 million tonnes of hot-rolled and deep-processed steel products and would achieve annual production value of RMB17.7 billion (USD244 million). The project will also produce cold-rolled strip steel, meeting demand for the material in Yunnan which has been heavily dependent on supply from surrounding regions.
