China produced 77.60 million tonnes of pig iron, 90.80 million tonnes of crude steel and 116.53 million tonnes of steel products in July 2023, up by 10.2%, 11.5% and 14.5% respectively from July 2022, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first seven months of this year, the production of pig iron, crude steel and steel products totaled 528.92 million tonnes, 626.51 million tonnes and 789.00 million tonnes respectively, up by 3.5%, 2.5% and 5.4% from the year-ago period.
