China's first production line extracting alumina from fly ash in full operation

On July 18, the first batch of qualified high silicon aluminum hydroxide produced by Inner Mongolia Mengxi Ordos Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd. came off production line and was put into finished product warehouse, which marked the full operation of the first phase of alumina extraction from coal fly ash project jointly invested by Mengxi Group and Ordos State Owned Assets Investment.
The alumina extraction project with capacity of 400,000tpa was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2006. The first phase, with capacity of 200,000tpa, is the first and only operating production line extracting alumina from coal fly ash in China.
