China's Zhengzhou releases five-year plan for mineral resources

On July 14, Zhengzhou government released the general plan for mineral resources for the 2021-2025 period
From 2021 to 2025, Zhengzhou expects to add bauxite resource of 20 million tonnes and coal resource of 6.5 million tonnes.
The minimum mining scale for newly-planned large, medium and small sized open-pit bauxite mines is 1,000,000tpy, 300,000tpy and 100,000tpy respectively, and that for underground bauxite mines is 1,000,000tpy, 300,000tpy and 300,000tpy respectively.
. During the five-year period, the city will operate no more than 150 mines with the proportion of medium-to-large sized solid mineral mines higher than 40% .
