Inner Mongolia Northern Aluminum breaks ground on high-end aluminum sheet, strip and foil project

Inner Mongolia Northern Aluminum Co., Ltd. recently broke on its 200,000tpa high-end aluminum sheet, strip and foil project in Holingol High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
With a total planned investment of RMB1.5 billion (USD208 million), this 300Mu (2-hectare) project will build one 2100 hot-rolling production line, two 1850 cold-rolling mills, two 1600 cold-rolling mills and associated facilities. The project will add continuous casting and rolling equipment with capacity of 100,000tpa and aluminum foil equipment with capacity of 100,000tpa, mainly for battery foil, double zero foil and decoration foil.
The project is scheduled to complete construction by the end of 2023 and commence production in 2024. When in full operation, it would achieve annual sales revenue of RMB5 billion (USD692 million) and tax revenue of RMB200 million (USD27.70 million), creating 500 new jobs.
