Jinko Solar to build 56GW PV integration project

Jinko Solar announced on May 24 that the company signed a project investment agreement with the Shanxi Management Committee of Comprehensive Reform to develop a 56GW vertical integration large base project in the Shanxi Transformation Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone. The project, based on a total investment of RMB56 billion (USD7.92 billion), aims to build consolidated production capacity of 56 gigawatts of monocrystalline silicon rod, 56 gigawatts of silicon wafer, 56 gigawatts of high-efficiency cell and 56 gigawatts of module.
The project will be constructed by four phases within about two years, of which every phase focuses on the integrated production of 14 gigawatts of rod, slice, cell and module respectively. The first phase will start commercial production in Q1 2024, the second one will come on stream in Q2 2024, and the third and fourth phases will commence production in 2025, as planned.
