Shandong Nanshan Aluminum to remove primary aluminum capacity

The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province announced that in accordance relevant regulations, it made public the capacity removal scheme of Shandong Nanshan Aluminum Co., Ltd. from May 24 to June 7, 2023.
The capacity will be removed step by step based on the local project construction progress in Guizhou.
In detail, 78 electrolytic cells of 160KA and 156 electrolytic cells of 300KA will be shut down, with a total capacity of 136,000 tons. 256 electrolytic cells of 300KA with a total capacity of 200,000 tons will be removed and used for the capacity expansion projects of Guizhou Xingren Denggao New Materials Co., Ltd. and Guizhou Liupanshui Shuangyuan Aluminum Co., Ltd.
The capacity will be removed step by step based on the local project construction progress in Guizhou.
