On April 26, Guangxi Tiandong Jinxin Chemical Co., Ltd. officially put the 1.2Mtyp alumina project into operation. The project is located in Tiandong Petrochemical Industrial Park, Baise, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, with a construction area of 74,600 square meters and a total investment of 3.18 billion yuan (459 million US dollars).
The project has a single-line production capacity of 1.2 million tons of alumina, which reaches a large scale in China. The first and second stages are expected to produce 2.2 million tons of alumina a year, which is of great significance to the construction of Guangxi Baise ecological aluminum demonstration base and the promotion of the sustainable development strategy of Baise.
