Guangdong Zhongnan's production of steel products down by 9.6% YoY in 2022

Recently, Guangdong Zhongnan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. released its performance report for 2022, which showed that throughout 2022, the production of iron totaled 6.7 million tons, up by 1.4% YoY, that of steel totaled 8.02 million tons, unchanged YoY, while that of steel products totaled 7.13 million tons, down by 9.6% YoY. In 2022, the sales of steel billet totaled 8.96 million tons, up by 0.2% YoY.
In 2023, the company aims to produce 6.95 million tons of iron, 8.4 million tons of steel, 8.26 million tons of steel products and 9.85 million tons of sintered ore, up by 3.7%, 4.7%, 15.9% and 5.6% YoY respectively. Besides, the company plans to self-produce 2.83 million tons of coke in 2023, up by 6% YoY.
