Grand Green Technology to put new electro-deposited nickel production line into production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 27 Apr 23 - Grand Green Technology Inc., one of major electro-deposited nickel producers in Central China, would put new electro-deposited nickel production line into production, and predicts to produce about 300t of electro-deposited nickel in May.
"Our company started to build a new electro-deposited nickel production line in February this year, and the construction was completed in late April. It is planned to start production at the end of April, and we expect that the electro-deposited nickel output will reach about 300t in May", the source said, adding after the new production line is put into operation, the old production line will be discontinued.
The company, with an annual production capacity of about 4,000t of electro-deposited nickel, produced about 160t in April and expects to produce 300t or so in May, holding no stock at the moment.
This Wednesday, the mainstream prices of Chinese nickel cathode stood at RMB188,300-189,300/t (USD27,184-27,329/t) EXW D/P, down by RMB3,000/t (USD433/t) from Tuesday. Insiders said that the market demand for nickel cathode continued to be quiet this week, and expect that the prices of Chinese nickel cathode would decline in the coming week.
