Yunnan Chihong resumes lead ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 27 Apr 23 - Yunnan Chihong Zinc Germanium Co., Ltd., a major lead ingot 99.994%min producer in Yunnan, resumed production of lead ingot on April 22nd with the output of 6,000t this month.
"We resumed production on April 22nd and produced about 6,000t of lead ingot 99.994%min in April, down by 3,000t from last month," the source disclosed from the company. They suspended production since 12th this month for regular equipment maintenance and would probably produce about 9,000t next month.
The company has its own lead-zinc mine with an annual production capacity of 400,000 metal tons. Based on an annual production capacity of 120,000t for lead ingot, the company produced about 92,000t in 2022 and around 33,000t so far this year, holding an inventory of 1,000t now. Their products are mainly sold to all over the country through their traders in Shanghai.
The mainstream prices for lead ingot 99.994%min stood at RMB15,040-15,240/t (USD2,173-2,202/t) in warehouse Shanghai today, down by RMB20/t (USD2.9/t) from yesterday. As most downstream client purchased from hand to mouth and the supply of lead ingot would increase with the gradual increase of operation rates, insiders predicted that the mainstream prices of Chinese lead ingot 99.994%min would edge down tomorrow.
