Henan Jinli Gold and Lead Group increases the lead ingot production capacity

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 25 Apr 23 - One of major lead ingot 99.994%min producers in Henan, Jinli Gold and Lead Group Co., Ltd., increased lead ingot production capacity to about 550,000t since late January this year.
"As our new electrolytic lead ingot plant put into production in commission in late January with an annual production capacity of 200,000t, our totally annual production capacity increased to 550,000t in 2023, increased by 200,000t YoY. The purpose of capacity improvement is to exert scale effects and dilute production cost," the source from company reported, adding that they replaced Henan Yuguang Gold and Lead Group as the largest producer of lead ingot in China now.
They totally produced about 240,000t of lead ingot in 2022 and predicted to produce about 400,000t in 2023. Now they hold about 1,000t in hand now. They have two electrolytic lead ingot plants and most of products are sold to well-known domestic battery factories.
On Monday, the mainstream prices of lead ingot 99.994%min stood at RMB15,060-15,260t/ (USD2,184-2,213/t) EXW in Henan, down by RMB10/t (USD1.45/t) from yesterday. Considering stable consumption from downstream cleints, insiders predict that prices of lead ingot 99.994%min would level off tomorrow.
