Ningxia Shuntai resume calcium silicon production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 24 Apr 23 - As one of major calcium silicon producers in China, Ningxia Shuntai Smelting Co., Ltd. located in Zhongwei, Ningxia resumed calcium silicon production in the middle of April, and the output in April would increase by around 600t MoM, disclosed a source from the company.
"We resumed production on 15th April after we finished the maintenance for several months, and we plan to produce around 600t in April," revealed the producer last Sunday.
With an annual production capacity of 16,800t for calcium silicon, the producer predicts to produce around 600t in April, up by around 600t from March, holding around 300t in stock. The producer owns one furnace of 33,000kVA in total.
The current mainstream prices of calcium silicon 30-60 10-60mm in China hover at RMB11,200-11,500/t (USD1,627-1,670/t) EXW D/A 180 days, unchanged from early last week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices of the material would slip next week upon the increasing supply.
